Board Member - Michigan

Meghan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Grand Valley State University and a Master's Degree from the University of Michigan in Clinical Health Psychology. She is a trained mental health and substance abuse therapist and has been practicing for over 10 years. Her current position is Community Engagement Director at Summit Pointe Community Mental Health. She is also the CIT coordinator for Calhoun County, supervises jail services and a Mental Health First Aid trainer. In her current position she gives multiple community presentations on Community Mental Health services and strategies to engage individuals in mental health and substance use services in an effort to improve community partnerships. Meghan led a team of community leaders in establishing the first CIT training in Calhoun County, has facilitated CIT program reviews and has helped other programs across the state of Michigan implement CIT. Meghan also serves as a member of the Community Corrections Advisory Board, Michigan CIT State Council, Suicide Prevention Coalition, Sexual Assault Services Community Advisory Board, Mental Health/Substance Use Task Force and the Michigan Human Trafficking Task Force.
